OUR MISSION
The Maryland Diaper Bank has a simple mission: To provide basic diaper needs to stimulate health, growth and good hygiene for babies in Maryland.
OUR VISION
To reduce the struggle of Maryland Families in providing babies with adequate diapering essentials.
Who We Are
Established in September of 2018, the Maryland Diaper Bank (MDB) was founded by Shelly T. to aid in diaper need.
MDB is a nonprofit organization that provides basic diaper needs to stimulate health, growth and good hygiene for babies in Maryland. MDB partners with local nonprofit and community organizations, known as Community Partners, that primarily serve families with children ages 5 and under in Charles, Calvert, St. Mary’s and Prince George's County.
Our Community Partners work with families from various backgrounds and situations including the underserved and those just falling on hard times. Basic essentials are delivered to partners on a monthly and emergency basis and distributed to families directly. These items include diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene products, postpartum and baby supplies. MDB currently has 15 community partners and in special circumstances, emergency requests outside of our partner organizations are serviced.
Since our inception we have distributed over 990,000 diapers and on our way to 1 million by the end of 2023. We are both excited and committed to the communities we serve.

Meet the team
The Maryland Diaper Bank isn't just an organization—it's a decade-long dream that began with a profound realization within my family. About 10 years ago, we recognized the struggles of countless families striving to secure diapering essentials. It was a time when there were no safety net programs from the government, leaving those in need with nowhere to turn for essential support. The vision for MDB emerged from the heartfelt understanding that every family, regardless of circumstance, deserves access to basic necessities for their little ones.
